Aly Cissokho to Milan
AC Milan have agreed a deal to buy Porto's French left back Aly Cissokho, chief executive Adriano Galliani said on Sunday.
Strong full back Aly Cissokho will land in Milan tonight after the agreement reached for his transfer between Fc Porto and A.C. Milan last night. The French footballer will undergo the medical checks tomorrow, after which he will sign a contract with Milan.
"The agreement has been reached thanks to the friendship of the president of Porto," Galliani told Italian media, adding that the 21-year-old would have a medical on Monday.
Cissokho, who media reports say has cost 15 million euros ($21.1m), will be Milan's first signing since the departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea and playmaker Kaka to Real Madrid.
Aly Cissokho was born in Blois (a town with around 50.000 inhabitants in the center of France), on 15 September 1986. Senegalese of origin, Cissokho is a French footballer who started his career in Guegnon at age 18, in the second French division. Last season, he played 29 matches in the highest Portuguese league: 13 matches between August and December 2008 at Vitoria Setubal, 19 from January 2009 onwards with Porto. With the Dragons he has won the Portuguese league and national cup this year.
The Serie A side are also hopeful of signing VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko and have been linked in the media with Sao Paolo midfielder Hernanes.
